At a question-and-answer session attended by about 1,000 fans Saturday morning, #24-Jeff Gordon was asked how his children were reacting to his impending retirement. Daughter Ella, 8, “is afraid her dad is not going to be famous anymore, which in turn means she’s not going to be famous,” he said. On the other hand, he said, “She wants to be the next Danica Patrick.” When a fan said he hadn’t seen Gordon win in person in many years, Gordon drew cheers when he said, “That’s going to change this weekend.”(San Francisco Chronicle)(6-28-2015)
